Today we pray, in spite of the external circumstances: lead the South Koreans O Lord, to continue to struggle and strive to love and share life with their brothers and sisters in North Korea, and continue to build peace so that Your Justice and Peace may be realised in this land.
Today let’s remember the Korean Peninsula in prayer. We confess that you, O God, are the lord of peace, life and justice on the Korean peninsula. You, O God, desire peace and reconciliation for the people of North and South Korea who suffer from the pains of division.
Praying for Christians all over the world that they may see Christ in their culture, hear about Him in their language and share Christ with others.
Today let us give thanks for all who have given their lives to serve you abroad Lord. There have been times when this service may have been detrimental: Father, forgive.
Lord we remember those from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia – giving thanks for those who have remained there during long years of conflict. The Christians who bear witness in the region, even though they are small in number, and the many who have provided for humanitarian assistance and peace-building.
Give us this day our daily bread. All good gifts of the earth come from your generous hands, God. Yet, this abundance is not shared equally among us. While some are satisfied, others are starving. Women often become the victims of exploitation because they are desperate to feed and care for their children. If only we would be mindful of that. Each & every one of us…
Let’s pray for those victimised by sex tourism and exploitation, and those who perpetuate such acts.
Today we pray for minority ethnic and religious groups who continue to experience discrimination, persecution or even genocide (such as the Rohingyas), and for greater interfaith understanding and tolerance for ethnic and religious diversity.
We pray that the church will be more courageous than cautious; that the church will not remain silent when people are suffering; that the church will not “pass by on the other side” when the wounded earth is waiting to be healed. We are the church!
O God keep our churches faithful in bearing witness to your great love for all humanity. Deliver us from intolerance and all that hinders others from seeking you. Bless our country and guide our political leaders so that their fruit may abound. Grant grace to our priests, pastors and ministers so that they may be diligent in the study of your Word and in the discharge of…
