About Data Protection

Data protection is a serious matter, at Kemnay Parish Church we have a data protection team who meets regularly to ensure any publications received from the law department at the Church of Scotland are reviewed and any action required is taken.

To ensure we comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and its 8 principles and also the more recent General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) we have adopted the Church of Scotland Data Protection Policy.  To ensure we comply with the policy, those who use data in Kemnay Parish Church have been made aware of and are strongly advised to follow our Data Handling Procedure.

The Kemnay Parish Church Privacy policy outlines how we collect and use data, and importantly how we store it.  It also supplies contact information should this be required. There are two Privacy Policies, one for Members of the Congregation and one for Employees. The Congregation one can be accessed by clicking on the link below.
