“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11). Lord Jesus, we thank you for being our good shepherd. We thank you that, unlike a hired hand, you were willing to lay down your life for us.
“I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9). Lord Jesus, thank you for being to us the door that leads to our salvation. Would you draw us to enter by you and you alone, that we would find true pasture.

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life’” (John 8:12). Lord Jesus, we thank you for being our light and our life. Would you call us out of darkness to follow you.
“Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst’” (John 6:35). Lord Jesus, we thank you, that when we come to you, we hunger no more; when we believe in you, our thirst is quenched. Lord Jesus, draw our hungry and thirsty souls to abide in you.
Lord, we pray today for self-control. When our emotions run rampant, would you help us to rein them in. When we have an insatiable desire for more, would you be to us the true fulfillment that we are searching for.
Lord, we pray today for gentleness. Would you soften our hearts, and soften our touch, that we would reveal your gentle love to those around us.
Lord, today we pray for faithfulness. Lord, you always have been, and ever will be faithful to us. Lord, as you have been faithful to us, would you make us faithful to you. Would you deliver us from temptation, from wandering, from stumbling, and would you make our hearts steadfast, through the work of your Holy Spirit, for your glory.
Lord, today we pray for goodness. Lord we thank you that you for your incredible goodness to us. Through your Holy Spirit, would you make us good to others, as you have been good to us.
Lord, today we pray for kindness. We thank you for the loving-kindness you have shown us in Christ. Lord, when the world is unkind to us, would you fill us with a kindness that is distinctive from the ways of the world, that through our kindness, you might reveal yourself to those who do not yet know you.
